The History of Japanese Tattoos

The History of Japanese Tattoos

The history of Japanese tattoos goes back to 10,000 BC. The woman
Ainu people used tattoos to appear as their goddess, so
demons (which cause disease) are confused with the goddess and the
frightened. These tribal tattoos began at an early age with a small
tattoo on his upper lip. When growing this small tattoo was
expanded.
Tattooing in Japan was legalized again in 1945 by the occupying forces,
but never lost its association with crime. Even today people with
tattoos are prohibited businesses and fitness centers, a
yakuza attempt to restrict entry into its place.
